I posted this plant a few days ago, but here is a better pic with more blooms open. Love this little guy!

New Guaritonia Why Not
I have one labelled Ctna. Why Not. The color is redder than yours. This is a plant worth growing and tends to bloom more than once a year. Yours is lovely.

Thanks! The color tends to look pinker in pics with the glare, but I suppose there are also variations in color as with any hybrid. Apparently the name is now Guaritonia instead of Cattleytonia.

I really like that one. I think some of the new Why Not crosses are much better than the origional Why Not. I have one thats Hknsa. (Mini Doris x Why Not) and it looks very much like yours. Many of these new crosses will probably be frequent bloomers. Good growing.

Thanks, Tucker. I'm hoping for frequent blooming. But I can't take credit for the current blooms, other than not smushing them since I bought it a week ago lol.

Mini Doris x Why Not = Guaricattonia Dr. Matt Cohen, just thought you would like to know that your cross has been named.

I bought a Catteytonia in the spring that is Why not Roundabout X Ctna Orglade's little lover "Jacks Hill" I'm hoping that it is as pretty as yours when it blooms. It should be very similar, and is a very small, compact plant. No Sheaths yet.
