Sorry, picture quality not great, I used my small camera. Please have a look at this plant in bloom, 3 flowers....2 with lips...1 without. Is it just deformed, or is this male/female flower stuff, hopefully not diseased......new to this type of thing. Thanks for looking.

i think it is just deformed, and should bloom for you normally next time....sometimes over fert or some such thing can cause a flower to miss one of its parts....not to worry...

Yes, just a malformed bloom. There is no male/female bloom separation in the Cattleya alliance, all their blooms are 'perfect' = have both parts.

Thanks all, think I figured it out. Over a month ago my sunroom was.being painted and the painters had all my plants squeezed to he middle of the room. So it was likely the change of positioning that did it.
