C Bob Betts
Here is a picture of my Bob... C Bob Betts is one of the best known of the old famous Catts as is its mother Bow Bells. It was bred on Signal Mountain in Tennessee by Clint McDade who brought Bow Bells to the US fearing a German invasion of Britain. Bob is out of Bow Bells and mossiae. It has received 66 AOS awards including 2 FCC's. The last award was April 3, 1974. It is so highly awarded that jumping the bar to get a current award is virtually impossible.

C. Bob Betts has always been one of my favourites. Apparently, it is also a favorite of Show judges as well. My cultivar, 'White Lightning', was recognised with an Honorable Mention ribbon at a show in October. It commenced blooming in September. I expect its last bloom of this season to finish in January!
I have another cultivar, 'York' AM/AOS, which I expect to bloom around March. Some growers (with extra greenhouse space) are known to acquire different cultivars with known flowering periods to maintain a C. Bob Betts in flower throughout the year!

Fantastic photo of a great hybrid. But, as Stitz implied, it gets to be a really big plant. I finally divided mine last summer, and both halves will probably need to be divided again in a year or two (a testament to its vigor--and to its potential to turn into something of a beast once it's happy). Congratulations on your blooms. I would imagine that you're enjoying the wonderful scent just as much as the great look of the flowers.

Very nice! I have a small division I have been struggling with, hopefully I can keep it alive to see it bloom!
