One of my favorites. This is probably the smallest plant I have in the catt. alliance. Unfortunately, I can't detect a perfume, but the flowers are sparkling and beautiful.

That's a really interesting plant, and the blooms are quite pretty as well. Would you mind providing some cultural information on it, please? Light levels, optimal temperature range, etc.?

From IOSPE;
Quote:
An eastern Brazilian, small sized, creeping, epiphytic, cool to hot growing species growing in debris filled crevices on eroded sandstone outcroppings with a basket-like weave of fibers covering the clustered, ovoid-globose psudeobulb with a single, apical, erect, needle like, curved and flexuous, blunt leaf, that is best mounted on tree fern slabs so that it will bloom on a short, terminal inflorescence with a spathaceous bract, that has 1 or 2 waxy, long-lived, Cattleya-like flowers occuring in the late fall and winter.

Thanks everyone for looking and commenting, and thanks Merlyn for that summary. Calypso: I bought my plant from Hawaiian Botanicals in B.C., and they still have them for sale. I grow mine on the window sill, in fairly strong light. It is quite tolerant of temp. fluctuations, but prefer cooler nights. They need rather pure water, as they are quite salt sensitive. They are prone to rot if overwatered, and absolutely need to dry out between waterings. I grow mine mounted for that reason. The flowers are not long lived (about 7-9 days), Merytt: the whole plant is about 3-4cm. I have no idea if they are available where you live.
