This pic is after already being open almost three weeks. It was first light green, then chartreuse, and almost orangy (is that a word?)



Last year the petals and lip were bigger, and also had about 15 blooms, and then it rebloomed in late spring. After that is was repotted and hence why only this single flower. It should be spectacular in the spring again...

I'd suggest you Google Blc. Ports of Paradise and see if you still believe that is what you have. Ports of Paradise has a much larger lip with the sidelobes wider than the midlobe, and the sidelobes splayed open, rather than closed over the column, as yours is.

#1, it came from an elderly lady that had it tagged as such. Maybe not the best clone of this hybrid.

#2, I had already said it had a bigger lip (sidelobes) on previous blooms, as well as wider petals.

Doing a "Google" search also shows some with pink striation down the center of the lip, some with wide petals, some like this time on mine. And yes, most show a wider lip, especially at the sidelobes, but not all..
