Vanda lover

Beautiful place to visit. Speaking of "inlet", "crowded" & "taste" ... those crabs from your inlet, crowded into your crab bucket were the freshest & tastiest Dungeness crabs that I've ever eaten.

Those snapping, grasping claws reaching up ... never seen anything like it ... except maybe for orchid hobby shoppers on opening day at an orchid show.

denvervet.
Sorry for the digression.

It must be beautiful where you live. I imagine you have a lot of low light orchids? What kind of orchids do best there?

It is beautiful here. Because we have such sunny summers, I am able to grow high light plants as well. If they get charged up over the summer they bloom beautifully. I have lc, ctna, phrag, paph, vasco, asco, vanda, epicatt, phals, doritinopsis, renanstylis, dendrobium, epidendrum, encyclia, masd, brassia, brassidium and cyms. It does get hot in the summer so I put some in the basement if it gets over 80.
