No this has not happened to me. I hope the two spikes inside one pbulb will grow long and separate .... or else you have blasted flowers....try to cut off the lesser spike and let the bigger one get all the energy for a full bloom

Well, I checked today and it seems that none of the three pbulbs developed sheaths for the buds. One has one and the other two have two. Down in flower count but its my fault as I messed up the feeding schedule earlier in the summer.

In its reblooming cycle; there are also two more spikes coming out with four buds on each spike
This used to stay in a heavy thick glass vase drilled with holes but I decided to repot it this time in clear six inches diameter plastic with a combination mix of lava rocks, large barks, hydroton and charcoal. To hold it stable is a wide heavy porcelain cache pot.

Really nice "Beauty" - I've seen several cultivars of this name, but this is the nicest I have seen!
And the new psuedo also has buds - how nice!
Really nice growing! Thanks for sharing -
Steve

Thank You for the visit and kind comment....

the odd shaped leaf becomes elongated and pointy as it matures
