Beautiful! Lot's of flowers. I've picked up several of those small bifolate cattleyas lately. They seem to be popular. Good growing.

How is your plant doing?

Mine has had two growths that have matured, two more that are about half way grown and two tiny little nubbins going. Im wondering when this thing will bloom! lol

Well, I pulled mine out of the pot because the older pbulbs were starting to shrivel up. No rot but tons of new growth. I'm going to have to repot here soon.

How wet do you keep yours? I think my problem as being afraid to water too often resulting in the shriveled pbulbs.

dont be scared to water them... since its warmer months now...you can water them without waiting for the media to dry out...only do this in winter...if you put this under a shady tree this warmer months its gonna be growing well...the heat and humidity in your grow zone this summer months is like breathing steamy water ...heh

I think that has been my issue. Gotta get more water to it.

you are lucky that you pulled it out of the pot when its growing new bulbs and new roots...or else it might sulk on you for a season with no blooms...dont forget to feed it weekly weakly now that it is in its growth mode...

Yea, it's got two new pbulbs that are just about to put out new roots so I planned it on purpose. I was actually shocked as it was really jammed in there.

Got another question for you Bud.

Mine has grown three new pbulbs this season. I pulled it off the shelf to give it a soaking today and I noticed that one of the pbulbs has two buds already! They arent in a sheath and the pbulb is far from being mature (about 3" shorter than last seasons growth). Wondering if you have ever had this happen to you.
