And I thought it was 'cool' that he did that!
Flowers look beautiful by the way - really love the different shades of blue.

Beautiful blooms, RJ. How long did you have it in the fridge? Wouldn't that shock the plant? I mean apparently it worked, but I'm just wondering...

I kept it at 60,in the cold box for a few days on a whim. I just needed those few days for the OS meeting. Pretty much all fell off after that meeting as it was looking rough already...

I know the feeling, congrats. on have the foresight to "cool" down this beauty. I wish I had done that to my Aussie Sunset, the flowers died before my monthly meeting, so therefore could not show it.

By the way, did it win a prize?

Mine is blooming too!
I'm hoping it will last another week so I can take it to a show for our Orchid Society display.

win no prize but I found out a cut inflorescence for judging is just as good as one on a plant. sometimes better if the plant is rough. I could have just cut the spike and put that in the fridge for a few days ya know like they do corsages to keep them fresh.
