Brassavola nodosa light requirements

How much light does b. nodosa need? It is growing in a spot where cattleyas and geraniums flowered. Will that be sufficient light for blooming or does it need more because of the cylindrical leaves?

should be ok i have mine outside on the east side. gets a few hours of direct and is doing great

Mine's in south window with window screens and supplemental Compact Flourescent bulbs for those dismal days. You should be OK.
