I just looked it up with Google, it turned out that the cool temperature is crucial for the development of yellow pigment in plants, probabaly carotene. I guess that's why the leaves have intense yellow and red orange color in the fall and spring. So basically this flower is the yellow-deducted edition of the actual one. Regardless, my wife loves it though.
