Default Cattleya mossiae var. reineckeana

The semi-alba mossiae was described in 1884 by Reichenbach as Cattleya mossiae var. Reineckeana, so the varietal name on my photo is not the most correct.
This is one of the first seedlings of a compot to reach maturity and bloom. The flowers are large and somewhat clumsy because of size, but the lip is beautiful.

The lip is stunning! I thought I remembered you posting this one in previous years, but if it's a newly blooming one then I'm wrong!

I agree with Bud. What you call clumsy, I call Floofy, if there is such a word. The flowers remind me of a Flamenco dancer with Floofy sleeves, and an uplifted skirt.

Mauro, another beauty well grown. Thank you for sharing.
