FINALLY!!! Now, for those of you who have known me here since I have joined, you might remember this little 'chid of mine.
Last year around this time (also the time I joined here), I found a sheath on my Ctt. Loddiaca (C.
lodegesii x Gur.
aurantiaca). Now, back then (and I still slightly am), I was very picky with my 'chids, as in I would love to peel back stuff to look at the new growths, etc. etc. Well, this 'chid didn't appreciate me messing with his sheath, and he promptly withered the sheath away. Well, now I can confidently say I know have some buds on the way! Well, it will be a few months in the future, as I think the
lodegesii blooms in the early spring, and the
aurantiaca blooms in the late fall early winter.
Here is the sheath, with an itty-bitty bump in the sheath!
The newest and tallest p'bulb is about 1' high give or take a few centimeters from the sheath.
