Default Laelia liliputana, just opened !!!

Ok, ok, I get excited !!! Having NEVER had the experience, it's what I imagine is like announcing that your wife is pregnant, hopefully !!!

Only got it this June and that's a 2" AirCone pot it's in. Only rupicolous out of three I have that I bloomed is my briegeri.

It just opened today ! Measured almost exactly one inch across horizontal petals !

That is exciting and I hope it blooms out for you... But I'll be honest, I... Hate... Sheaths!
They just sit there and taunt you... smiling. Eventually they might finally bloom. Grrr!

Yeh, I know all too well !!! It's the genus that plays with you !!! Phals spike = they bud & bloom, Dens spike = they bud & bloom, Ctsms spike = they bud & bloom, etc.. Catts sheath = they haven't made up their mind !!! Notice I said "pregnant, HOPEFULLY !"

I totally overlooked that comment. If you have to wait 9 months, I'd start the drowning threats. Worked on 2 Oncs and a Gastro, though surely a coincidence

Didn't see it that way, Jarad, good one ! I was leaning more toward, it LOOKS like she's pregnant hopefully, but it's NOT definite !!

Did you mean something like this ? My daily log = Potinara Paradise Beauty 'Marcela' 5/5/11 sheath !!!! It's STILL there staring back at me !!!

It is nice to see sheaths because they forebode something wonderful....its up to you to help it come through to its promise of bloom; either way it is rewarding you in its own sick taunting way

Thanks, Bud, got your point but to use the word forbode with wonderful is an anomaly. Forbode refers to the foretelling of something evil or bad ! Was that a Freudian slip since you DID say sick & taunting ?? LOL !

Dude, Freudean slip is refering to something sexual...as Dr. Freud was always alluding to childhood experiences IE: a fetal position in sleeping is a "deep desire to get inside the warmth of the womb" kinda thing LOL
Forebode is more like a literary slip; I am after all a Thespian , heh
