Default Cattleya violacea 'Francis King'

A first bloom seedling from a cross of 'Canaima's Pechi' AM/SVCN x 'Muse' FCC/AOS. I'm thrilled with the color, flatness and symmetry. I'd like the next blooming to have more size (only about 12 cm NS right now) and have more filled out petals, obviously without the flaw on the right petal.

sometimes flaws can be beautiful too...it shows that it is real and not the silk fake ones LOL
This has that striking color that everyone would know it is an orchid.
You have photographed the bloom well and presented it magnificently.

Chris,
That looks great! Pretty impressive parents on this one too. I bet the next bloom gets even better. You think you can squeeze another growth out of this one by the end of the year?

Hey Steve, it's anybody's guess! That would be great, I sure wouldn't complain.
