now that it has bloomed and is quite nice..Lets see now If we can keep this alive during the Texas Heat Stroke

been open a few days so it still working its way out of the shell

Really lovely flower. And this one's definitely a warm grower, so as long as you provide some shade during the heat wave, I would imagine that it will do just fine. Good luck!

Nice flower ... but the leaves on your plant have a quilted pattern & look like they are suffering from heat & water stress. C. violaceas really need a lot of water during hot periods. But they need very good drainage so that you can water often without giving them soggy feet.
