I talked to the backyard grower who gave me the plant. The plant is a mericlone that he obtained from Kodama Orchid Nursery in Waianae, Hawaii. I talked to the owner of the nursery and learned that the plant was cloned several years ago. The seedlings from flask were very difficult to grow. Those plants that survived bloomed very nice and were quickly purchased by growers. They do not have any more of theses plants at the nursery. |

Hey, could you help me with mine? Cant get it to flower. Gave 4 buds on different growths already since 1 and a half years, but alwats blasts. What is the pattern of growth? Ive had both incased and open buds. It is now outdoors in a mediterranian weather, i water when dry (let it be dry for a while) and fertilise from time to time

SK ---- it's around 9 years since the previous batch of posts. You could post some pics of your orchid, and also describe the growing conditions - media type, temperature ranges, lighting levels and duration, humidity etc. |
