This is Encyclia Cindy (alata x tampensis). It's the plant's first bloom for me--it has four spikes!! Got it as a freebie seedling from Exotic Orchids of Maui back in 2006...it has taken me a while to figure out how to make it bloom.

Anyway, was going to post pics in a few days after more buds opened; however, I noticed that some bumblebees were flying around it today with pollinia stuck to their heads. Might have a few flowers wither on me soon!

Well grown plant, nice for a 1st bloom. You can look forward to longer spikes and more flowers in the future.

Both parents have wonderful scents also, it's great that it carried through to the progeny.
