small flowers, large overgrown plant..



This was a gimme plant one gave me.Tried to repot it, it resisted. I tossed it in a clay saucer, hose it down everyday and got blooms.. has about 4 new growths right in this same spot all with bud sheaths( crab flippers) starting to pop out..Nice small very yellow almost velour' like in feel..Very soft..I should have a flurry of flowers on this one..I think im going to leave it in the saucer for now.
The blooms should look better with regular water and feeding if you like really yellow flower this is the one..Has some red tint on lip and some green edge around the petals..Cant wait for the next batch!!

This is a cross between Cattleya esalqueana and Cattleya Beaufort. It was reg. in 1990 by D & A Harkness. So this makes it Cattleya Memoria Alvin Begeman. Note. There is only one G in Begeman.

get some more better pics of the blooms when they open up. These were a little old when I took the pictures. I was running out of stuff to post. Dont have that much anyone is really interested in anyway. I hope the plant cleans itself up some. Been pulling dead stuff off this thing for a week and havent found it all yet
