This beautiful cattleya just opened in my collection. The 5-inch flowers are well shaped. The flares and lip are very dark fuschia. This is a mericlone that I obtained from Orchid Center a few years ago.

The contrast in the lip is wonderful and the flaring is as well.

I have had that same orchid for many years now and it's still one of my favorites. It's very reliable bloomer and has a nice fragrance. Yours is an excellent specimen and obviously very well grown. Good Job.

Thank you for the comments. I recommend this for everyone's collection. This is a good one to display in Shows and show at meetings. I like the flowers because they are very firm and have good shape. I find it easy to grow.

I too have this plant and it is a strong grower doubling and tripling in size every year. I mounted a division on fern fiber and it has shown that it really takes to it.
