Blc. Toshie Aoki 'Pizazz'
My Toshie Aoki is blooming right now. I got 3 flowers on the lead, but the middle flower has a color anomaly where half of it's lip is missing the red coloration. That half is also flattened out and lacks the ruffly curls of the normal side.
This is not a fragrant plant, but it is gigantic.

Your 'Pizazz' is very pretty it has more "splash" than mine does. I've never seen this kind of color anomaly, thanks for posting.

Great looking flowers. I don't think anyone knows why, for sure, but this happens every once in a while.

Sometimes i think the lips will color up weird like that if the plant got stuck opening up. Like the circulation of fluids was cut off or something before it could "pop" open. theory only.

WOW! It's gorgeous! I have a 'near blooming size' plant of this so I can't wait. Seeing the blooms makes me so impatient!
Do you meant he plant is gigantic, or just the flowers? My plant is not large-yet
