Wonderful. I have not been able to flower mine; probably to warm. Did the flower bud develop at the same time with a new shoot or before? In the former case there me still be hope for me.

Thanks Lars! This bloom is on a growth that finished maturing last summer. I first noticed the spike in early April and the flower opened about the 3rd week of May. The plant got nights at 10-15 C from December through March, give or take a few warmer days. I've heard these can grow and grow without flowers for years and then have a great mass blooming when they finally get a cool enough winter.
