Why would you stop buying orchids?? the rest of us have no will power, and misery does love company.
Hmm.... Seventeen orchids ago, I was nearly out of room and knew my catts would someday need larger pots so I announced to my family that I was done buying orchids. Sigh. I really don't know where I'll put them all this fall. But, interestingly enough, there is that idea of orchids that are winter hardy, that can be planted outside. I might be just getting started! Ha ha ha!

Well, you could also move to Canada. Shipping season is usually from May-October at best. That means that for half a year you can be on your best behavior, and for the rest place BIG orders (does save on shipping doesn't it?) and promise yourself that you'll shape up next year. Perfect excuse for a lot of us, since plants offered change so frequently, it could just be that we're dealing with a once in a long time opportunity. Who would/could miss out on that? You see, you sound like a very wise man who has his priorities straight.
