Cattleya labiata 'rubra'

OrchidWiz does state that it usually blooms in fall but can bloom from late spring to fall depending on climate conditions. It also says heavy rains can initiate blooming, although it is usually heavy rain and longer nights that does it. Did it get extra water this time?

It's very beautiful anyways and maybe you will get some more in the fall!

It didn't get much more water than usual, but maybe the microclimate in the pot stayed more moist than usual. I had to move it because it was getting too large for its old location.
