This plant was given to me by my neighbor. She got it from a relative in Florida. I usually don't condone wild collection of native species, but I took this one in as a rescue of sorts. It was almost totally rotted when I got it with no viable roots. I took these pictures the day I got the plant. Unfortunately, I could not revive it.

Well you are to be commended for trying to save this beautiful little Florida native. I have one growing in the crotch of an oak tree in my yard. It's bloomed for the past two years and when it blooms again this summer I will post pictures. Our record cold month, each of the past two years seems to have had no detrimental effect.

I just got another one that fell out of a pine tree. The branch was totally rotted out and had many bark beetle holes.

I'll post pics soon, but its about 6" across and 8" tall, about 100 p-bulbs.

i had a 30+ pbulbs plant, in a pot. what was nice, and had sheaths. then it got ants, and i put it outside. the weather forecast looked safe, but aparently not. i think its almost all the way dead now. even though i brought it inside as soon as i found the cold damage
