Lc. Tropical Pointer 'Cheetah'
I just love this plant... it has put out marvelous roots and growth. And, GREAT flowers- I think it is of the most beautiful cattleyas! A 'no worry' plant...

Very stunning the white throat against the orange yellow petals/sepals is great and then ending with a bright lip of magenta....

Do you have a photo of the whole plant? how big is it?
I just got one in a2.5" pot at Lowes (Better Gro bag) and looks nice. also got a Cattleya Dinard, even if I prefer species!
Any tips on how you make it bloom so nicely? that color seems unusual compared to what comes up on searches for Lc Tropical Pointer. More orange and nicer!

The plant is in a 6" pot and stands about a foot tall. I got it as a sprawling plant in a 4" pot, but decided to divide and give the other half to a friend of mine. I just give it as much light as possible and water about every 5 days. I also have it in a mix of half bark, and half shredded osmunda. My catts seem to LOVE this mix! It produced that growth and spike of flowers over the duration of winter in Pittsburgh (many dark days!), so I think it is pretty tolerant of less-that-ideal conditions. I can't wait to see what it does this summer! The colors have changed from greenish-white (when it first opened), to orange, and now to yellow; I think the flowers may be on their way out. And, they're about 3" across. This has been a very easy plant for me!
