Instead of the clonal name 'Cheetah', yours is 'Spots' The hybrid is Lc, Tropical Pointer and then a particular plant can be given it's own clonal name. Often when they are awarded they are named. Any plants with that same name ('Spots' in your case) was reproduced from the original plant that was named that.
You are lucky to get one. It is on my wish list!

The name on my tag has 'Cheetah' and then -spots. Is that what you are referring to? |

Well, if your tag says Lc. Tropical Pointer 'Cheetah' spots, it would seem you do have the clonal name (cultivar) of 'Cheetah' and maybe someone is just indicating it has spots on the flower. However there is another clonal name of 'Spots' so there are plants of the same cross called Lc. Tropical Pointer 'Spots'. It can't really be both tho.
