Beautiful bloom! And it doesn't look like a huge plant either (I've seen a lot of digbyanas that get kind of leggy, with elongated pseudobulbs and leaves). Very nice blooms and plant.

Steve, the foto is somewhat deceiving. It was taken at an angle above the plant to show the flowers at their best. The longest leaf/psb combination measures more than 13 inches.
'Laura' is a very compact plant. Leggy is not a word that I would use to describe it. |

That's still not too bad (the 13" combination of pseudobulb and leaf). I've got a few varieties of this species, but I've not heard of the 'Laura' cultivar before. Do you know of a source for it?

I purchased 'Laura' several years ago from Tropic1, immediately before that business was sold. At the time, a number of outstanding orchid cultivars were offered at reasonable prices.
I have seen it available at Fender's in 2010. The price was considerably higher.
It might be more widely available however, you will need to ask specifically for the 'Laura' cultivar by 'name'.
