I purchased 'Laura' several years ago from Tropic1, immediately before that business was sold. At the time, a number of outstanding orchid cultivars were offered at reasonable prices.

I have seen it available at Fender's in 2010. The price was considerably higher.

It might be more widely available however, you will need to ask specifically for the 'Laura' cultivar by 'name'.

Your question is well received. My plant grows very "tight". I have seen many cultivars of this species throughout the years. Some seem very "leggy"; some seem to be "tight", like mine. There is no way to determine without a "controlled" experiment. I don't have the resources.
