Catt. aclandiae
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I got this 2 years ago at the local orchid show for 10 dollars, it was in a 2" pot had 3 small growths on it. I mounted it on to a piece of wood I took a tillandsia off of just a few days before. Top of greenhouse lots of air movement and good water, lots of it except winter.
I have tried to grow several C. aclandiae before in different settings and never had luck with them, but now my babes grown up, cool.

Wow, that is gorgeous! One of my favorite Cattleya species, though not one I grow yet...

Beautiful and good growing! This is one of my favourite
catts but I've never happened on one for sale. One of these days.

Great looking plant and flowers. Not a big fan of the scent, but it is a wonderful species. Congratulations on your blooms.

I know, Steve. I'm in the minority. But I also don't like the smell of Onc. Sherry Baby (although Onc. ornithorhyncum's scent is pleasant enough). C. aclandiae, though, really does have a stunning bloom, and unlike either C. amethystoglossa or guttata, you don't have to worry about the potential need to rearrange furniture in order to accommodate it.
