While at my local Lowes the other day I went to look to see if the year's first orchid shipments had arrived and boy was I suprised. The whole plant section was nothing but orchids. Therewere a lot of dendrobium nobiles and baggie orchids. For some reason I am extremely attracted to baggie orchids. I love to look through them. It is like Christmas day. Opening and wondering what is inside of the presents. However, I was really suprised to see a brassavola little stars. I instantly fell in love with it and had to have it. I held on tightly while I was looking through the other inventory. There were a lot more that I would love to have, but I chose the little stars. There were 2 little stars, but the other one was smaller and had already bloomed. Anyways, this plant has between 4-5 new growths that I hope will bloom around the smae time my digbyana blooms, so that I can cross them. I repotted it a couple of days ago and was taken back by how many live roots were in the broken down media. Here are some pictures that I took before I repotted the plant.
