Default Schomburgkia info req'd!

Hi everyone,

Today, I acquired a Schomburgkia tibicinis x Laelia lobata

In researching it today, I see that Schomburgkia is also known as Myrmecophila? and possibly Laelia splendida?

If anyone can help clarify the correct name for me, I would truly be grateful!

Also, does anyone know what this hybrid might look like?

Thanks!
Helen

Default

Schomburgkia was divided recently into either Myrmecophila and Laelia

tibicinis is Myrmecophila. The mature pseudobulbs attract ants, which have a symbiotic relationship with the plant. Myrmecophila tibicinis is a sun-loving plant.

I believe Laelia lobata is also a sun loving Laelia.

I've really no idea what your hybrid may look like though. Sorry.
