Default Catt. Brabantiae x Catt. loddigesii

One of the very few orchids I have purchased without knowing what the flower would be like. I am disappointed that the dorsal sepal flips back like it does. (Would have considered taking it in for judging otherwise.) No fragrance that I can detect. Heavy substance and a good-sized flower -- especially compared to most chids that I grow -- approx 4 inches across. Ah well, though it isn't award quality, I do like the spotting so it'll be in no danger of losing its home.

It's lovely and I like the spots too. If this is the first blooming of the plant, is there any chance that the dorsal sepal will stand on the next bloom?

Great pictures.

I also second Zoi2's question.
