I have a recently acclimatized C. aclandiae. Will I be still alive to see its first bloom?

Haha, I like the "how old are you " question, haha...

It's kinda truthful though. Aclandiae need about 7-10 mature psuedobulbs (aka, not small baby ones) to bloom, and tooons of light. I grow mine in south windows and it does great. The more light you give it and the warmer you keep it, the faster it will bloom. Depending on where you live, if your plant just came out of flask, I say you have a minimum of 5 years. Why don't you purchase a more mature plant? Older seedlings and nbs plants can be found on the Internet.

ahh they are cute already ...I cant say from when to when but once they start to bloom, they bloom...and 5 to 8 nice growths seemed to be the avg blooming size Ive seen.

I don't have the facilities or the patience yet to grow one out like the seedlings your size. I have had a few nice sized ones bloom out pretty easy that I bought. They are very interesting and fragrant flowers as you already know.

Hats off !!!

Thanks for sharing Mr. Tech. I just started my orchids collection from some seedlings recently. It's very nice to see yours grow healthy!
