The above is excellent advise...I grow quite a number of encyclias, and they MUST dry out between waterings. Mine are either mounted, or grown in LECA. When they are mounted, I usually mount them on a cedar plank, with half tree fern fiber, & half coconut fiber.This way, they don't have any trouble drying out. BettyE.
