Default Cattleya bicolor var. marginata
This is a fine flower for this species! The beautiful white border in the lip and the vibrant colors make it a very desirable clone.



The following is a representative of the variety brasiliensis, a sub-species that occurs in the vicinity of Brasilia, in the middle of the country. The second photo shows a spotted version.



This photo compares the so called variety grossii (I don't believe it deserves that status), showing the major difference, the relative position of the lip and column.

I just love bifoilates. They have the most intense blooms.
