Well, I haven't had much luck again this season with my Cattleya. So I guess I'm going to have to move to Brazil or Florida.... Then I can really torment Susie Q and all those westsiders... This would look much better suspended over SusieQ's pool
This is one of my faithful bloomers; I don't have many that are as good to me as this one is . It has a very pleasant light scent.
OK Howard, what's your secret? I've had one for years and years, and just can't get it to grow well, let alone bloom. Is this one of your driveway chids? Anyway, mine has a new growth with a sheath that looks like it might this year. Hope so, it's a great semi-alba. BTW, well done!
Yes, Kim, this is a driveway chid! I sure hope the orchid police or orchid social services doesn't know where I live! Feel the base of the sheath very carefully and if you feel something in there then you've got a winner!
Very pretty! Congratulations on the nice blooms. Lc Orglade's Grand is a reliable bloomer for me also. Mine is in bloom right now. I think it's one of the best large semi-albas.
