Cattleya NoID - suprisingly!
Found this at the local garden centre- usually they have beautiful Cymbidiums, Oncidiums, and lots and lots of Phals. I was very suprised to see Cattleyas - they didn't all look in great shape but I took a chance on this on. It has some new growth and 3 flowers waiting (hopefully) to open. So in theory I'll know what it looks like fairly soon!
I did repot it when I got it home - my experience with the local garden centres has been hit and miss, so I thought I'd put it in something I find easy to manage. So it's now in coconut husk.
The roots looked really great - I was really pleased when I got it out. There was a huge piece of rotting bark in the centre so I'm glad I've repotted.
Will be reading lots about Cattleyas in the next few days!
