Rare Catleya success.
It's simply labeled...
Lc. Pink Frost "H+R"
I don't normally do Cats well at all. Delicate scent. Well bred.
This was a Lowes rescue. It was kept in the dark and I found it greener than heck out on the clearance rack half dead, un potted, thrown back in and in the full sun. I had my doubts.

Very good, Charles!
What's that black stringy stuff wrapped around it?...or is that a super skinny snake?

I bought it in Jan of this year. It has a sheath but it never went anywhere. Then this bulb began and here we are. It took about six months.
The black stringy stuff id wire smarty pants. The flowers were all cock-eyed, so they needed braces. Very heavy for that stem too.

Well, after trying to shine it with too much mayo, the leaves are all brown. It is hanging on though. I have it inside for cooler temps. It should pull through, but it may be a while before it blooms again.

Yikes Charles! Was it outside? I bet the mayo got hot and cooked the leaves.

I have used straight lemon juice squeezed from a lemon to remove old water/fertilizer spots and not had a problem. For precaution, one could wipe it down a second time with water once you removed the spots with lemon.

I use lemon juice too and it works great! Sometimes I even use the slice to rub over the leaves and then I wipe off any extra juice.

I had way too much on the leaves and it was hot, but not sunny.
I think it will survive if just barely for a while.
