Is it ok that my Brassavola Nadosa has purple dots on leaves?
I have a Brassavola Nadosa and it is doing wonderful. It has many new leads and new roots. No blooms yet but I got it for $2.00 at Lowes three months ago. Anyways, It has been getting as much artificial light as my cattleyas and there are a few leaves with purple dots on them. I know that these plants do this, but is it ok or do I need to do something different.
That's absolutely fine. Purple spots are an indicator that it is getting lots of light. As long as you don't see any actual "burns" on the leaves, Nodosa will typically take as much light as you can give it.
