That really depends on the amount of roots (and personal preference. I usualy cut them back so that I can fit them into the new pot and ad the new susbstrate. Take care to cut of any broken roots or roots that might break. Take care to only repot the plant when it's activly making new roots.
My Catt's and same genera seem to be doing new roots and growth now, so I have to take this opportunity to re-pot them.
Thanks for the info!! I wasn't sure if that was going to hurt the orchid but yes, you're right trimming them a little short to have a better fit makes a lot of sense ...
Do you use cinnamon at the ends of the trimmed roots?
