Here's another early bloom on one of my Cattleyas. Has the scent of a rose in mid-morning.

Lovely! I didn't know much about this species until recently. I have just deflasked 11 plants about 2 weeks ago and I hope just one of them turns out as nice as yours.

I'm glad you posted this. I have a C. nobilior that just started to put out a new growth a couple of weeks ago. I was thinking it's probably going to be a new pseudobulb rather than a flowering growth. I figured it's too early in the year for the plant to think about blooming; that maybe I encouraged some early new growth by giving it too much water this winter.

Maybe I'm wrong, since yours is flowering already. I don't know yet from experience. I've only grown one nobilior and it hasn't flowered yet.
