Definitely not well versed in cattleya's so I am unsure as to what is goin' on... These two guys popped out right after I removed some sheath.

Nothing better than a Cattleya that throws oput 2 new growths per season - twice the growths = twice the flowers!
Plus, you could have a specimen sized plant in no time.

Agreed. Two new growths. Fat ones too! How long have you had it? Is this the first time it has put out new growths for you?

Good growing
Has it bloomed for you?

What bothers me about these photos is the first image shows an apparently healthy growth with a bud sheath that may be blasting. The others show signs of rot in the base of that growth. Am I wrong? Am I not seeing these correctly? Just curious. Because I have never had a Cat in sheath send out new growths (could be me, cause I don't do well on Dendros either).

The plant looks healthy to me. The growth with the flower sheath looks like it has matured and the papery covering (what is that called?) on the pseudobulb is drying out/discoloring.
The top portion of the flower sheath looks like it has had a good amount of light exposure and the typical green has turned reddish.
I have a catt right now that will be maturing a new growth with sheath and will be pushing out new growths at the same time. I anticipate that it will flower in the spring.
Remember that the presence of a flower sheath does not always equal flowers. I have had blind (no buds) flower sheaths before.

Ummm ...
Ross - It's you ...
I have a new growth on one of my catt's (blc) sheaths, also.
That's not rot! ..It's just dried up old leaves ..
Those photos are a bit darker also.
Oh Ross, Ross, Ross! .. shaking my head ..
