It is beautiful!!! I THINK I have the same plant! I got it at Walmart about 3 yrs ago... it has only bloomed once since then. Up until now, I had assumed it was a pure Bc. Maikai (it had no tag), but now I am almost certain that it is this cross. I have been trying to identify it for a long time!!! Could you post a pic of the whole plant?! Mine has rather short, sturdy growths... often with two leaves. It has become a massive clump, but won't flower. I'm going to try more light next summer. What does Gba. stand for?

Ok, this is going to get a little on the " you have to be kidding "
The name of your plant is Ghillanyara Haleahi.
Yes ok I didn't name it.....Hawaiian Fl.Nurs. in 2001 did.
now your Gba. is short for Geberara, having found that we find that it's a synonym for Col. Collierara., in this case.
now Maikai is a Bsn. Brassanthe.
As for the ABV. of Ghillanyara......still looking, maybe one of the other members might know.

I noticed that my plant would not put out scent unless it was extremely dark and cooler at night. I had to draw the curtains at the window and make sure outdoor lights were out. The scent is BEAUTIFUL- like honey and lilacs!

Krystle,
I didn't waste 1 hour of my time to give YOU the correct name for your plant. I spent the hour to let InspirChid1712 know what Gba. stood for, you can call your plant what ever you want.
