Yes ok I didn't name it.....Hawaiian Fl.Nurs. in 2001 did.

now your Gba. is short for Geberara, having found that we find that it's a synonym for Col. Collierara., in this case.

now Maikai is a Bsn. Brassanthe.

As for the ABV. of Ghillanyara......still looking, maybe one of the other members might know.

sorry i am no orchid specialist just an orchid lover i go with whats on the tag and what the person who sold me that plant says it is, it not a huge concern to me its makes beautiful flowers and i enjoy it!

Buckie, good sleuth work! I am always happy to know the name of any of my orchids. I don't have this one, but it is so lovely it will go on my wish list. Great growing Krystl.
I had never heard of a Ghillanyara before. I guess that is RHS nomenclature and it also goes by Iwanagaara Haleahi. Haleahi certainly sounds like a Hawaiian name but no idea what it means.
