Lc. Orglade’s Grand ‘Yu Chang Beauty’
Here is my latest bloomer. It had just finished blooming when I got it 2 years ago. Last Jan. it was coming along nicely with a large bloom sheath, and for some reason it turned black and died. So this is my first successful re-bloom. The flowers are about 5 inches wide.

The parents of this beauty are Cattleya Mildred Rives x Cattleya Persepolis, so this makes it Cattleya Orglade's Grand.

It depends which nomenclature you follow as to how you see it listed. In OrchidWiz, the RHS nomenclature shows its parents and family tree all listed as being Catt. but it also lists the Sander's list version and then both parents are shown as Lc. and numerous members of the family tree show up that way as well! My tag shows Lc.
But wait 6 months and I am sure it will have another new name . I can't seem to keep up with the new naming, much less pronounce some of them
Luckily it doesn't keep us from enjoying them, whatever they are called!

Very lovely semi-alba. I've got one that looks like it might bloom soon, after a very long wait. Hope it's as nice as yours.

That's a beautiful classic semi-alba. I have the same orchid and it's in bud right now. I hope mine turns out to be as nice as yours. Good job of growing.
