C. leopoldii "Cetro de Esmeraldas" x self
C. leopoldii "Emerald Scepter" x self
This is a recent addition (so this is not my culture), and it was a real bargain, this selfing is usually sold at R$ 150,00 (approx. U$ 55.00) (BS size, no flowers), I paid only R$ 40,00 each (approx. U$ 15.00). I bought yet another plant, with bigger and darker spots. The lip color is slightly pink, then it can produce "type" flowers if it are used in crosses.

Beautiful! You live in orchid paradise down there in Brazil. Thanks for sharing the great pictures.

Forgive me for the crazy exchange rate I used! In fact, real prices today are R$ 40,00 = U$ 24.00 and R$ 150,00 = U$ 90.00, but the proportion is the same!

Hi friends!
Here are the pics of the other plant of the same cross; the flowers are already somewhat "old" but you can see the difference between the 'chids of the same seedpod

Fantastic flowers, Frederico. And this is such a great species. Anyone who hasn't grown one should try it. The intoxicating fragrance alone is reason enough to have this one in your collection.
