That's a beautiful bloom. Interesting that it's blooming this early for you, as my C. lueddemanniana doesn't flower until early spring (or maybe my plant just blooms later than what's typical for the species). Congratulations on the bloom. It looks great.

This was one of only a couple of plants in bloom in a large batch of seedlings at Ecuagenera. I'm not sure if this was a season thing or a maturity thing. Since Guayaquil is very close to the equator, I'm guessing it's more of a maturity thing.
It's not my plant, but I will be celebrating the New Year with the folks here at Ecuagenera in Gualaceo, Ecuador. Time to burn the old year and eat 12 grapes.
