the easiest way to do a bigger file is to put it in your gallery here in orchidboard (click gallery in the site menu bar on the far left). then once you've uploaded the picture, you'll see two lines of code at the bottom, one to copy to a post for a linked thumbnail, and one for an embedded image.
of course, you should use windows image resizer to save space and bandwidth too:
