I'm new on this forum, I will like to know if tomorrow I have to bring everything inside like I did a couple days ago... I will like to know the safe lower Temp for orquids, I have about 15 of them and I don't want to lose them Thanks!!! Acabe
This depends on the species some can tolerate freezing. Others are in trouble at 10 degrees Celcius. It's also depending on humidity if the plant / medium is dry it has a better tolerance. But as you're posting this in cattleya I'd say untill 15 Celcius no problem between 10 and 15 doubtfull. Below 10 degrees Celcius bring them in for sure.
Check our social group Florida Orchid Lovers should be several posts from people who live close to you. Most orchids aren't too happy below 45, if you leave them out be sure to cover. The wind is a big problem for those outside. Let's just hope it won't last for long.
